We had a brilliant Martial Arts Camp with our crew today.
5 hours of a mix between Kickboxing and Archery, Taekwondo and Boxing, Weapons and MMA and lots of team building exercises with some board breaking tests to add to our Grading syllabus.
Well done on an excellent camp and Grading and congratulations to all participants!

Congratulations to all our young guns who successfully passed their test this morning which was supervised by our team of Lisa, Tadhg, Daryl, Iwona and Ab.
Serious improvement since our last one which comes down to our students focus and their commitment to competition in which we've has 3 this year with another 3 planned.
4 double grades were awarded and high level scoring in Poomsae, Breaking, Padwork and Sparring.

Today we held our second Changmookwan Poomsae Championship with the additional category of Breaking which enabled us to invite our Kickboxing and MMA groups with adding Grappling to the mix as well as an Archery section.
We were also joined by our friends from Erne and Cavan Changmookwan with Master Pat McGovern and Joanne. Sincere thank you for making the trip and all your input today.

Tag Team Challenge
June 26th 2025
Tag Team Challenge!
We held our annual Tag Team Challenge this evening with 7 teams going head to head over 15 endurance challenges to try beat the clock.
This has a twist with our Green/Red Card game of chance with sometimes being able to pass a challenge on or if you're unlucky you double up on your challenge.
A great way to build some friendly competition but above all a fun way to get a hard session in.
All teams completing in under 49 minutes and congratulations to Lisa/Rachel for grabbing first place in under 42 minutes with Talia/Nishit claiming second in 43 minutes.

TEEN/ADULT SUMMER TAEKWONDO GRADING
June 5th 2025
Our Taekwondo Teen/Adult Grading was overseen by Head Coach Stefan Moriarty.
Huge emphasis was put on traditional aspects to start with inclusive of Step sparring and stance retention and strikes.
We moved into Poomsae doing forms at different levels and finished with Kicking drills, Sparring and some Korean and refereeing terminology thrown in for good measure.
Well done to all participants especially our higher grade juniors who levelled up and joined the senior section last night.

Almost 30 match ups in Light Contact Kickboxing from our Juniors right up to our Teens/Adults and some great BJJ match ups thrown in for good measure.
Only made possible by our great friends in competition from Red Rhino Kickboxing Club Next Generation MMA Dublin Enigma Bjj Dublin Na Fianna Martial Arts - Athlone thank you for taking the time to support today's event.

INTERCLUB EXHIBITION DAY

Our Summer Series kicked off today to a brilliant start! Designed to give competitors some experience in a light contact environment we had almost 50 Light Contact Kickboxing and Sub Only Grappling match ups today.
Joined by our friends in Red Rhino Kickboxing Club Enigma Bjj Dublin Next Generation MMA Dublin and O'Neill Fitness thank you for the support as always.
Spectators were treated to some very highly competitive match ups with our next series planned for the end of May.

CHANGMOOKWAN POOMSAE LEAGUE

We held our first official Changmookwan Poomsae Championships today in Dún Laoghaire.
Categories from basic movements to patterns with 4 divisions and an adult division.
Standard was excellent with on more than one occasion a tie break which resulted in students performing a different pattern.
A huge medal haul and thank you to all who took time on a Sunday morning to support our Taekwondo program.

EASTER EGG HUNT 2025
April 19th 2025
The Irish weather put a stop to our outdoor Annual Easter Egg Hunt but we weren't deterred - we just done it indoors instead.
We had a few special games in order for our young guns to guess their egg, use some special gold coins and get some chocolate in the process.
Cold wet day outside so we opened our coffee dock and both parents and kids had a great laugh.

CHANGMOOKWAN TRAINING DAY
April 13th 2025
Back to our traditional roots today as we took part in a Changmookwan Ireland Taekwondo training session held with GM Jan Bartels 9th Dan.
All traditional aspects were covered and Stefan was invited to demonstrate and teach sparring strategy and technical kicking to all participants which was a huge honour.
We were delighted to see some old friends which go back over 25 years and got to meet some new ones too from Fermanagh, Longford, Cavan & Laois.
Thank you to GM Bartels for accepting us into the organisation again and to Masters Bambrick and McGovern for the sincere welcome.

HEAD COACH STEFAN PROMOTED TO BROWN BELT IN BRAZILIAN JIUJITSU

Head Coach Stefan was promoted to Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu by Minnesota Black Belt James Clarke today which has validated a link going back to 2008.
Stefan started our MMA program in 2009 and has since been working back and forth with Coach James for years through multiple visits from Jim to Ireland and Stefan to the USA.
Sincere thanks and gratitude to Coach James (Jim) for the honour as we continue to forge even stronger ties with our brothers in USA.

Our Juniors had a special treat this morning as Coach James and Joshua from Clarke's MMA & Boxing ran a specialised Wrestling class with our kids group this morning.
Our young guns soaked in the knowledge and we were honoured to have experts like James and Jim on hand alongside his daughter Mary who herself is an accomplished Boxer and her fiance Dominic who is a top college wrestler.
Head Coach Stefan awarded James Clark and Josh Clarke Montoya their Kickboxing Black Belts today who both have a lifetime of Striking and Grappling knowledge which has cemented our links even stronger.

Great day at The WKO All Ireland today in Offaly! Our young guns put in some great performances with Seán, Ella and Rohan reaching the quarter finals in some really well matched up battles. Well gone gang!
Hallie was crowned WKO All Ireland Champion Under 10 Girls 35kg after 3 really tough fights to come out on top and win gold in a super competitive division is outstanding! Well done Hallie well deserved Champ!

We held our first kid friendly version of Squid Games with our some of our Juniors over the mid term and was a great success!
We held over 10 different games with teams facing off against each other with the ♦️Red Team coming out on top with 99 points.
Two players won best players 041 and 150 being awarded their goody bags.

We hosted almost 50 contests today for our Junior's and Adult groups. A mixed format consisting of Taekwondo, Kickboxing, Karate and Grappling to finish off the year.

KICKBOXING WINTER GRADING 2024 - JUNIOR/SENIOR

We held a fantastic day of Gradings in our club today. Starting off with our Juniors who excelled in all areas including instruction, board breaking, fitness tests and power kicking.
Thank you to our parents for their continued support and faith in us!
Our Seniors went through their most technical Grading to date and then were put to the limits with a military like conditioning rounds to test their metal.
As always thanks to Coaches Lisa, Tadhg, Daryl and Mark for ensuring all got a fair and challenging examination.

Congratulations to all our Taekwondo students who levelled up today. Our Grading consisted of warm ups, stretching, balance, stances, footwork, padwork, sparring, instruction, patterns, board breaking and Korean.
New yellow, green, blue and red stripes were earned under the guidance of Coaches Lisa, Tadhg and Daryl and thank you to our parents for attending the presentation today.

35 Year Taekwondo Anniversary
5th November 2024
This evening marked 35 years of our clubs origin which started with 2 Korean Masters Park and Jung.
Produced multiple black belts, spearheaded most notably by Mr. Noel Reynolds and then under the guidance of our Head Coach Stefan Moriarty progressed to what we have today.
We are extremely grateful for all the support, mentoring and training we've received throughout the years in Ireland, Korea and USA.
Thank you to all our members that came to celebrate tonight with us and to Coaches Lisa and Mark for taking the groups through a specialised Taekwondo session this evening.
To O'Kellys in Bray for supporting us and designing a fantastic piece for Stefan and to our special guests this evening Noel Reynolds who we officially honoured this evening and his son Oisin who is leading the way in fight media with The Final Bell.

What a great way to finish our Halloween Camp today at our annual outdoor event with lots of Spooky friends.
We had some treats, magic tricks, musical statues and smash the skull games for everyone.

Our Coaches took a well earned evening off to enjoy some games this evening to unwind before our club reopens tomorrow
Some friendly competition was had but all in all plenty of fun which was needed!

Summer Camp 3
Camp 3 was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all kids and coaches alike.
We had our games day, martial arts day and of course our cinema trip all supervised by Coaches Lisa, Tadhg and Daryl.
Well done to all students on their new grades and belts - looking forward to progressing through the next term and seeing more and more activity and success as we go.

Summer Camp Group 2
Our second week of camps are complete - we had another brilliant camp over 3 days with our young guns and got to take in lots of games, a Kickboxing Grading and a cinema trip.
Thanks to Coaches Tadhg, Daryl, Lisa, Mark and Sebastian for making it another super camp.

Summer Camp Day 1 - Fun, Games & Activities
Great start today with our games day:
Twister, Ring Toss, Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Balance Board, Samurai Throws and our Favourite Gladiators. Lots of fun had, friendships made and some refreshments to complete day 1.
Summer Camp Day 2 - Martial Arts & Grading Day
Well done to all participants today and congratulations on your new belts and certificates.
We went through all of the styles we offer and straight into an intensive fitness test, progressing into sparring and padwork to top it off with board breaking.
By far one of the highest standards we have done to date supervised by Coaches Lisa, Tadhg, Daryl and Sebastian.
Well done gang we are very proud of you!
Summer Camp Day 3 - Cinema Trip
Last day of camp was our Cinema trip to finish off our 3 day camp. Great fun was had over the past few days with a great group of kids!

Followed by a great night of fights from clubs all over the country.

Junior Back to the 80's Party

Teen/Adult Summer Kickboxing Grading 2024
Monday 22nd July 2024
Congratulations to all participants who took part in a grueling session this evening. We made use of 4 areas this evening working on everything from Footwork to Conditioning, Strength to Defence work, Padwork to Sparring and much more.
Our Grading was made extra special this evening with our honoured guests Sensei's Karl, James and Andy from Red Rhino Kickboxing Club and our own Lisa, Tadhg and Mark putting the gang through their paces throughout.
It was a huge honour having our Red Rhino friends with us this evening thank you for your continued friendship and once again congrats to all participants.
Junior Taekwondo Summer Grading 2024

SOCIAL NIGHT - NERF WARS

Fun social night with some of the team.
Our Teen/Adult group got another taste of Nerf followed by some Teddy's 99 ice creams to cool off.
Well done to the ladies team winning 3-2 this evening - social events are a great way for members to unwind outside the training structure.

LEGENDS INTERCLUB

Another fantastic interclub day with our friends in Red Rhino Kickboxing Club, Next Generation MMA Dublin and Enigma BJJ Stillorgan.
Thank you to Karl, Noah and Jay for their support, all our team, staff and Irish Red Cross for the hard work today.
Thank you to those that took the time to come and support the kids and great prospects in Teens and Adults competing in Kickboxing and Grappling and the families for their continued support.
Special mention to James McGuirk in Portugal sending his greetings the Legends way and to Coach Lisa who celebrated her birthday with the team today.

Friday Night Fights - Interclub
Friday 31st May 2024
Friday 31st May, we reintroduced our Friday Night Fights as a trial at our HQ!
We held 20 match ups in Light Contact Kickboxing and Grappling in what was some very highly competitive match ups.
Thank you to our friends in Red Rhino Kickboxing and Next Gen Dublin for their competition spirit and sportsmanship and to our own crew for making it a great occasion. Thank you to all that attended to show support for your fighters!
The evening went great and we can look forward to holding different martial arts events with our friends across the martial arts spectrum.
Special mention to all the Coaches, Officials, Front Desk, Teams and Medics and a big shout out to Kirsten, Amy, Shibu, Jay, Alex, Nathan, Julian and Adam who all represented Legends on the mats

What a brilliant morning we had with our young guns with many getting the opportunity to Break their first boards!
Excellent technique and passion from all with our parents and families joining in on the fun!

Training Course
Saturday 11th May 2024
First Aid Training Day!
Today 11th May we held a First Aid Training Day as a Refresher for our Coaches and for some of our members to jump in. We are always looking at ways to ensure we are upskilled in all areas involving our set up.
All emergency scenarios were covered, including CPR, AED use and trauma and injuries.
Huge thanks to Stephen O Hanlon from First Aid Ready for facilitating us today and taking time to go through all the necessary criteria and great catching up with you again.

Social Night
Tuesday May 7th 2024
We took the evening off training so our adults could unwind as a team with some Bowling and Laser Tag!
Lads v Ladies in Laser Tag and 4 teams of Bowling with some pizza and refreshments!
A really fun team building exercise and thanks to all that showed up this evening looking forward to our next social event!
